99 GTI clutch pedal stuck to floor

I have a 99 GTI VR6, I was driving today and the clutch pedal stuck to the floor. Friend says it may need a clutch. What's wrong?

Have you looked to see if there's any leaks under the vehicle? If you try to start it while in gear (carefully so you don't run it into anything) will it try to move forward?

I see something leaking from the transmission area under the car, the car will move if I try to start it in gear.
