How danergour is it to drive with a broken sway bar, loosetyrod end, and all 4 struts leaking?
Had some rattling sounds coming from underneath, just took it in to get looked at and they said: sway bar link is broken, front and rear struts are leaking and I have a loose right tyrod end. Apparently the tyrod and sway bar would only be about $240 to fixe, but struts are about $1200 each. The car has 120K miles on it, it's a 2001 mercury cougar, n I was alrealdy looking to get a new car this summer anyway. Should I junk it, or spend the money to fix it n trade it in...? And is it safe to drive like this until I can get a new car or will my tires fall off or something on my way to work..?
